Where are the safest drivers in U.S.? - More Health News - MSNBC.com

It is about time. Who would have thought that St. Louis would be second from last. When I first moved here the first thing I said was how bad these drivers are here. I at least have 5 near death experiences each week with the shitty merging that STL drivers perform.

All I can say is, it is not people drive fast in Saint Louis, they just drive stupid!

2nd Greatest Day Ever

I AM ENGAGED!!!!!

I know that this blog is a long time coming, but it has been a crazy week!

I asked Lisa to marry me while we were on vacation in Eminence MO! She said yes before I even finished asking the question! It could have not been more perfect day and weekend for the both of us.

The next day we went on a 17 mile float trip which tested our wills to live, but in the end was AWESOME!! Then we went hiking, and ate our weight in home cooked Missouri food.

I could not be more happier than I am right now! I love Lisa more than anything, and I cannot wait to start wedding planning hell!

IPOD Influence

CNN.com - Study: Sexy music triggers teen sex - Aug 7, 2006

Here is another step in the blame game. I guess we are done blaming video games for a while, and now we must blame music. This allows us to ignore other factors like: Parenting, school, and friends! Maybe those teens who are having sex, are more likely to listen to that type of music?

Only if Christian Music was cool again...

Looks like things are going well...

CNN.com - Head of U.S. command: Iraq civil war possible - Aug 3, 2006

Well I believe from this article that we are doing a very good job taking care of business in Iraq
"I believe that the sectarian violence is probably as bad as
I've seen it, in Baghdad in particular, and that if not stopped it is possible
that Iraq could move toward civil war," he testified at a hearing before the
Senate Armed Services Committee.

We started this, now how do we get out of it? And are we responsible for stopping a civil war?

Are School Boards a Good Thing?

CNN.com - Evolution opponents suffer setback - Aug 2, 2006

I am happy to see that not everything is lost in the state of Kansas. For a long time I have absolutly given up hope on that state.

Sometimes I must ask myself, what is the point of school boards? They in theory are a good idea. But it seems that they are getting more and more partisan and and insane. A good of people, desciding what children should be taught in the school system sounds better than one person desciding. However, what are the qualifications to be on a school board? In Kansas it seems that you need to be able to hate science and love God.

Survival of the Human Race?

A New Gay-Marriage Setback - Newsweek National News - MSNBC.com

I can never understand how gay marriage is not legal. It makes absolutely no sense to me. How are state supreme courts actually discriminating against people? Can you even believe this quote:
But last week's ruling, which stated that "limiting marriage
to opposite-sex couples furthers procreation, essential to the survival of the
human race, and furthers the well-being of children," left both sides retooling
their strategies.

Gay people should become straight for the sake of the human race?

Nobody Gets This...
