"Business Trip"

It is a hard life in Student Affairs at times. Sometimes you have to take a group of students to a conference so that they can learn important skills to further their leadership educations. This time I am in the beautiful city of San Diego. Rob and I took the University Program Board to the National Conference on Student Leadership. It is being held at the Catamaran Resort and Hotel. Now everyone knows when you are an advisor there is not much to do at these than relax and drink with the other advisors. I view conferences as a time to bond with your team rather that learn any leadership skills, so that is really what we are doing. Tomorrow the conference is only 1/2 a day, so we will be going to the world famous San Diego Zoo. Of course the Saint Louis Zoo is #1 in the country, but I heard this one is pretty good. So I am looking forward to a very relaxing work weekend. Then again 70 degree weather here beats any temp in the Midwest at the moment.
