A Beer a Day...

Hops in beer may be healthy, researchers say

With the amount of beer that Rob and I drink in a week, this is welcomed news. Our fridge has more beer in it than food at times. We have code words for when we are low on beer. Yellow alert when we have 3 days of beer left, and red alert when we are out. If we hit red alert then we must go to the store at that moment when we call red alert. Right now we are out of good beer, and slowly drinking our way through a case of the "beast light". We might just get a kegorator soon to make this easier on us. Now they stop short of telling us that beer prevents cancer, but we will keep drinking it until they tell us it gives us cancers. But that might not stop us either!

A toast to your health!

Hmm...somehow I don't see Rob drinking a bunch of stouts or porters, so I'm assuming the two of you are drinking ale? (The article you linked specified stouts, porters, and ales as being superior, health-wise, to lagers and pilsners.) Sam Adams Summer Ale is better for you than Winter Lager, apparently. Sierra Nevada also has a good pale ale. And Brad could regale you for quite some time about the virtues of a good Belgian ale.

And get that Beast out of your fridge! Aren't you supposed to be loyal to Budweiser over Miller?

My boss took the cursed Miller product from a Res Hall room and gave it to us during a party at our house. We have been trying to get rid of it since.
