It is about Time!
On the Road: Young Gay Activists
It is about time that Christian gay actitivists actually do something, or get recognized for doing something. Someone needs to say that there is a large amount of Christians that do not believe that homosexuality is a sin. These Christians never want to talk about it, and are constantly overshadowed in the news by those that have nothing better to talk about than homosexuality being a sin.
I love how some of the activists were arrested at Jerry Fallwel's Liberty university. Nothing like getting arrested for talking about equality and God, at a university who's name is Liberty. I hope this tour motivates some people who are Christians who actually believe that homosexuality is not wrong to take action, or at least talk about how they feel. It is like these people are closeted themselves about their beliefs. If they were to come out and talk about how homosexuality is not a sin, would they be going to hell? Would they be cast out of a Christian community which I feel has been already hijacked by insane conservatives, much like Islam has been hijacked by radicals? Too bad I cannot strap on a gay bomb, walk into Jerry Fallwels office and when it goes off he would be open and caring about all people. I wish people would stop being so nice about this topic on national TV. Just like radical Christians who stand next to abortion clinics, I think it is time that gay activists stand outside churches with pictures of all the people that they are judging. It is time to put a face on this issue.

I agree that this is a good step. But gay people who call themselves Christians will not change the minds of Jerry Falwell and his followers, Jon. Straight people who call themselves Christians, and who also loudly profess their belief that homosexuality is not a sin, will. That means you. It's up to you, and others like you, to take back your church from those who treat it as a pulpit for discord and hate.
I am glad that you speak out publicly and frequently about this issue on your blog, and I hope you do the same with your friends and family. People like you are the ones who will eventually win this fight.
