Play Ball!

High wind damages new Busch Stadium

If this article gives you any indication to the storm that occurred in the STL last night, you can only imagine what being at the ballpark was like. The hand of God came down, but that only stopped the game for 2 hours and 12 min. For unlike many cities (chicago) 80 mph winds do not stop us from playing baseball. Comiscular field would have been blown over, and they would have never played the game.

The storm came out of nowhere, and the stadium management had no idea it was going to be that bad. It sounded like a train was coming at us from all over. Back at home Rob was dealing with a power outage and parts of our old air conditioner flying all over our backyard! The damage was extensive, and 400,000 people are without power. But at least I got to see the ball game.

There was only one other time I have been in a storm that bad. Those who went through that storm know it as "the storm of the badlands"
