Man returns purse full of $1 million in jewelry
So lets say you are this guy, would you return the bag and the stuff in it? Now it seems that he had no idea how much it was worth so maybe we will never know if he is that good of a guy! But, if you found 1 million in a bag in a park with nobody around would you keep it?
I am a true believer in what comes around goes around and I feel if I kept the money, I would be totally screwed somehow down the road. Yes it would pay a lot of shit off for me, but would that be worth it? I would be thinking about how I got the money in the back of my mind for the rest of my life. So I guess my answer would be, I would be returning the bag.

Did you see the online poll, it said 72% of people would turn the bag in as well. I have one word for that.

Maybe I'm just cynical in my old age, but I don't believe that's what most people would do.
Gerken, I think people would be more likely to keep a bag with a $100 billl in it than one with $1 million worth of jewelry. If it's $100, you figure no one will really miss it, and it won't be life-changing. You could live with yourself; in a year you might forget that you ever found it.
But $1 million worth of jewelry? How would you even explain that? Everyone you encountered as you tried to sell the jewlelry and spend the resulting money would assume you were a thief or a drug dealer, and someone would eventually make the connection between a missing bunch of jewelry and the million bucks worth that you mysteriously acquired. Or so you would fear, every day, for the rest of your life.
