Are you ready for this?

Are audiences ready for United 93?

Why do you want to see this movie?
The film is horrific, distressful, unbearable. It's the
plane wreck you know is coming, yet in true Hollywood fashion, you hope for a
different outcome even as you agonize over the climactic frenzy on board.

I am not going to see this movie. I do not care how many family members of the people who were on flight 93 said it was ok. I do not think this movie is a good idea at all. Sept 11 is one of the worst days in U.S. history and now this director is making money off of it. I am sure there was some family payoff here, since all of the Sept 11th families are "supporting" the film. All this movie is going to do is piss people off and scare America a little more.

Some argue that this film is a memorial to those who are on this flight that took down the terrorists. But, when you are watching this movie, are you thinking that it is a memorial? Or is it a thrill ride of emotion, that you wish for every second never happened. This movie will leave you emotional, drained, and scared.

Is that worth spending your money on?

Did you see Pearl Harbor? What about Munich? Schindler's List? Horrible events, and people made a crap load of money off of. Why are you up in arms about this one? I could see if you were saying it was too soon, but you weren't just that people should get to make money off of it.

For the record I don't have any desire to see it at this time, so I won't be spending my money on it. I think that not enough time has passed.

Gerken you are right,
It is not as much about the money as it is about time. This movie would be good 20 years from now.

I am definitely not seeing this movie. I even find the previews disturbing. Everything is still too fresh in my mind. Maybe I'll never be able to see it, but perhaps my children will be able to look at it differently...
