It seems to me that Israel is SOL unless it changes its strategy. As long as the propaganda machine is going, it looks like Israel will always lose. As for Hezbollah:

These people do not care about the Lebanese population,
they use them as shields, and, once dead, as propaganda. As long as they
continue existing there, there will be no tranquility and peace.

I am going to go out on a limb here, but maybe the only way to stop all of this is to occupy again. Israel is right in that the only way to completely get rid of this problem is to take out all of Hezbollah, but the international community seems to not want them to do that.
